A Blog for September

Well! It's that time of the year again. School's back with a vengeance. It also has bitch-slapped me very hard. But anyway, I'm sitting here bored on a Saturday afternoon with not much to do. So you know what that means? I sure as hell do! Time to rant/vent/etc

School: School is school AND I'm a Junior now! Classes are not destroying me yet and I think this is honestly the first year where I can say I genuinely enjoy most if not all of my classes. Physics is physics so it's not going to be easy, but it's science -_-. English is bleh though that's not saying much since my English class last year was the most fun I had in an English class in a while. Theater is practically my life this year and my new teacher is win. Math = amazing. Creative Writing > Life. Hahaha just kidding, but you get it I suppose. History is t3h s3cks (tis amazing!). Spanish is muy fantastico!

Friends: Well, I haven't really made any new "friends" persay, but I've gained some acquaintences. I happen to have a slight bit of a crush on a girl in my theater class, but I'm not saying her name. For reasons of privacy, AND because I don't know what it'll turn into if anything. Two of my friends are in a relationship (semi-awkward third wheel FTW!)

Other Things: I'm apparently a Nazi according to a few people at my school. I have been jokingly referred to as a Nazi in Creative Writing but it's all in good fun. I suppose I should say as to WHY I'm referred to as such. I'm slightly conservative but it mainly is economically so. Also, I'm of German descent so...you can put this puzzle together fairly easily. My main political beliefs at this point: Pro same-sex marriage, pro-life, undecided upon the death penalty, stop the damn taxation!

Other Things 2: The first woman in a LONG time was executed in my state. Crazy stuff. From what I've heard, the woman hired two hitmen to kill her husband and stepson in order to take out a $250,000 life insurance policy (or something of that nature). She was sentenced to death. Now I for one think that everyone should be held responsible for their transgressions, but I can't help but wonder, what was really happening. A very liberal friend of mine made his facebook status saying how the courts messed up and how she should've only gotten life with possible parole (not sure how accurate I am). I'd like to say this to anyone who thinks the death penalty is cruel and inhumane. If someone broke into your house and killed your family in order to take money, what would you tell them in court? Would you forgive them like that? I know for a fact I wouldn't. Wouldn't you also want to prevent this person from hurting anyone ever again? I think that she deserved at least life without any chance of walking thanks to bail or parole. The woman hired two hitmen. Generally hitmen aren't hired as bodyguards or to scare people. They're hired to kill. Nothing more. They're ruthless killers and it's their job to do it. Saying she was manipulated by them is completely irrelevant. She hired hitmen because she wanted money. Not because she wanted to scare anyone. She wanted them dead! I do agree that death could've been a bit extreme, but at the same time, she was the one funding the crime.

Sorry for the spastic rant!
