Stuff on the Brain

Hi Everyone! (Again assuming people read this?) Its time for another day.... awesome... -_-

Anyway, its Monday at 8:30 in the morning, so why would I be up at such an early hour in the summer one could ask? Well, the simple answer to that question is that I hate my body clock. It goes "LOL YOU HAS SCHOOL!!!"

See what I mean? Anyways, I've been getting into some really good anime series recently. Namely: Nabari no Ou, Kuroshitsuji, Higurashi something something, Neon Genesis Evangelion (I know I'm uber late with that one XD), and Serial Experiments Lain (again uber late)

Anyways (becoming a word I use too much along with epic) I've had a splendid weekend! On Saturday, I worked from 3-7:30 which was nice I s'pose. Then one of my friends came over and we had a sleepover. Or in teenage boy terms as some people would say, we hung out until the next day...or something like that.

And it has just now occurred to me, the extremely annoying stereotypes that are a "teenage boy". I suppose the stereoypes are justified no less but I digrese. It only then occurred to me how many emotional problems I apparently have.

I'd obviously would rather not go into specifics right here for well....obvious reasons, but simply put, I am a lot weirder (not the good weird either) than I had originally anticipated. It's a frustrating prospect.

Moving on to books I've read! I started reading Catcher in the Rye yesterday and have gotten to Chapter 4. Generally I'm a fast reader but I see that my reading rate has declined sadly. Anyway, I was able to draw parallels between myself and the main character, Holden Caufield. The frustrating thing is, I see how he acts in the book and it almost reminds me a bit of myslef and when I grow annoyed with him, I realize how annoying I am O_O

Anyway, I also bought the first book of the Maximum Ride series yesterday and while I haven't read too far into it yet, I must say, I think I'll enjoy it.

I also have a story in the works which I'll give more details about in an upcoming journal entry.

So until then, stay safe, and don't feed the trolls!

With lots of love, Stephen

End of School/Update

Hi everyone! This is me here back for another update! Well, it's currently June 23rd and I have only a single day of school left!! Finally, it seemed as though this year would never end! Anyways, enough with the exclamation points. Time to get to business.....(resisting urge to sing Disney song)

Looking back at this year, I remember all of the things I did. Some stupid, some not so stupid, and some incredibly stupid things. I thankfully wasn't betrayed which was awesome! But I did get rejected for the first time...it was tough. I think I've had enough of 'love' for a while now. I don't think I'm going to like anyone for quite some time now but anyways that put aside....

This school year has been one hell of a roller coaster (is that one word or two? I can never seem to figure it out) Anyway, I'm excited because I may have a potential sleepover with a friend who I haven't seen since January and well... as you all can see or rather...tell, it is in fact June.

Wow 2010 has gone by in a blur don't you think? Anyways what else am I doing for the summer....Hmmm..

Oh well I'll list them as they come onto the brain:
Working, Otakon (maybe), lots of reading and anime watching, hanging with mis amigos y mis amigas, and really bunches and oodles of other things.

Places I'd like to go over the summer: Germany, Japan, Russia, Netherlands
(though I'm well aware none of those are going to happen XD)

Till next time, enjoy life and stay safe.

Best Wishes

Update On Life

Hi Everyone! This is Stephen again with an update on life! Well, since my last post, my evil relic of a Geometry teacher retired and the new teacher is probably about infinitely better. A nice math teacher "who woulda thunk it?"Anyways, letsee... I feel the urge to rant so I will in fact... about multiple topics.

First: Chemistry
There is generally a class or two which no matter how hard you try, you always seem to come up JUST short of the goal. For me, that class is mentioned above. I get the whole elements and radioactive half-life crap but the math...shoot me now.

Next: Athiests
Okay so while generally, I have no problem with people, I am bugged by Athiests. "Why?", one may ask? Well, because they REFUSE to believe in a god or really... in any higher power whatsoever. I'm generally totally tolerant.. (try saying that 5x fast haha) but the people who simply come back with the argument of "There's just no god because I say so and science supports me," can just go....fall...in a hole. I am completely understanding to Agnostics who simply need more evidence to prove their findings or believe in a higher power but not a specific one but the Athiests who simply hate people for loving God are rediculous. In my opinion why I believe in God is because I believe in miracles, its what I've been raised on, and really when you think about it, the "Big Bang Theory" is utter bull... Try Law of Conservation of Mass..or Matter... whichever one.

Anyways... moving on

Next: People who Hate Homosexuals

Now I am an extremely open guy about what I view on homosexuality. I believe its perfectly fine for two people of the same gender to love each other. It's not a sin because if it is, then love in itself must be which as we all know, it is in fact not. Those who say that its a disease really need to get their facts straight. Also, no one would actually CHOOSE to be an utter reject of society. Lets see here... also, those who want to propose an ammendment (spelling fail?) to the Constitution (again?) BANNING gay marraige on Biblical precedent are out of their right minds! It is a clear violation of the 1st Ammendment. If I'm not mistaken, Congress shall make no law establishing a religion. So... by outlawing on pretence of the Bible is utter well... blasphemy.

Next: Substitute Teachers

We've all had them. The really bitchin' ones! And the absolute crap ones. So far this year, I think I've had maybe.. 3 substitute teachers I actually didn't dislike. And coming from someone like me, this is surprising I know.

Next: Regular Teachers and their inability to teach

Now I'm not a teacher, but if my future plan of voice acting doesn't work, that's my alternative career. I believe that in today's society, teachers are underappreciated and underpaid... At least the good ones. For example my English teacher whom I love to death. She's a single mom who had her baby in January. Probably the nicest English teacher I've had to date. She's so inspiring with her unlimited kindness and words of wisdom and her great sense of humor. And though the pay is absolute crap, why does she teach? Hopefully because she enjoys teaching the subject and helping us become better writers. She's actually inspired me to write more often and has actually helped me realize that writing doesn't always have to be a chore. But, there's certain teachers *cough Geometry cough* that just well... suck....immensely. She was in her mid 60's I think and was just well...terrible. She was a grouch and was just an all-around bad teacher... especially with the tests she made by herself... When she went in for her surgery for approximately 3-4 weeks, her husband took over for her. He's such a jolly, cheerful old man who you can respect because he actually tries. I fail to see why instead of him, we got his bitter old wife who needed to take a chill pill approximately every five milliseconds. Don't worry, 2 teachers left whom I have to talk about. My Spanish teacher who has a fabulous personality is fantastic for Level 1 Spanish. She actually speaks it to us rather than saying... this translates to this and...well I think you get the point. My P.E. teacher who is one of the wisest men I've ever met once said to me.
"Son, in this world, you're gonna have to deal with all sorts of people whether you want to or not. You just gotta play with the cards your given... Even if they suck... which I wouldn't know because son, I'm not an expert in sucking. To criticize others, you yourself have to be an expert in what you're criticizing them in"

Those are the words I leave you all with.
Thanks and be safe!
